handmade African kiffa beads from Mauritania - for jewelry making
these were made in recent years, so are not antique.
Nevertheless, they are beautiful and elaborately made by hand.
Powdered glass is mixed with sand and fired. The pattern is then painted on and burned in using glass, color pigments and gum arabic.

Size of each bead approx. 10-11x8-9 mm - slight size gradient
Threading hole approx. 2 mm
Colours: red-orange, dark orange, black, blue
since each bead is made by hand, each one will be slightly different in pattern, texture and size.
