A very unusual piece of artisan jewelry for your finger with an antique granite bead from the Sahara in a sterling silver setting. The stone comes from Mali in West Africa, where along the River Niger there has been a brisk trade in beads along the Sahara routes for thousands of years. Granite beads are usually several hundred to a thousand years old. The stone sits across the finger. The historic granite bead was cut in half and the cut surface was ground. I have provided the back of the silver setting with 2 windows so that the original hole in the stone bead can still be seen. The ring band is 5 mm wide and can be adjusted in size. The granite incl. frame has the dimensions 27x17x6 mm. Ring band and setting made of 925 silver. The ring is adjustable in size and therefore suitable for almost all ring sizes.
