These beads are between 600 and 1200 years old and were made in the near east and traded along the old trade routes to Africa, where they are now found in Mali.
Eye beads are worn for centuries as protection amulets to ward off the "evil look".

Pretty blue glass with some parts of the "eye" visible and all the authentic patina left on the beads.
